Brief Introduction: Forest ecosystems are critical to the study of water, carbon and nutrient cycling, and are among the most important ecosystems to respond to global change. Many experiments have been conducted in forest canops around the world for different research purposes.Among them, optical remote sensing technology can effectively monitor forest ecosystem in regional and global scope. Daxing 'anling Station is located in Mengen River Forest Protection Zone (east longitude 120°12 '~ 122°55', north latitude 50°20 '~ 52°30'), Hulun Buir, Inner Mongolia.The site is a hilly terrain with an average elevation of about 1000 meters.The forest covers 75% of the total area and is mainly composed of larch, birch and pinus sylvetra.It is a cold temperate wet forest climate, and has the characteristics of the continental monsoon climate.The station is a platform for forest meteorology, hydrology, productivity, health, carbon fluxes, water fluxes and global climate change research.In 2016, a key experimental area of 1 km ×1 km was established in genhe Protected Area of the station, and fine optical remote sensing experiment of mixed forest in complex topographic area was carried out by satellite-airborne and ground synchronously. Considering the spatial and temporal characteristics of the key experimental area, 20 basic sampling units were established.Structural (tree height, DBH, crown size, leaf size, PAI, LAI, ALIA, FVC and CI) and spectral (component reflectance, transmittance and temperature) parameters of each sampling unit were simultaneously measured during the experiment.The experiment has three new characteristics :(1) the research object is narrowed from the typical surface (farmland, grassland, forest, etc.) to the study of forest ecosystem;(2) The small key research area of the experimental area makes the fine-scale surface survey more possible. The 20 basic sampling units established to capture the surface heterogeneity are much higher than the previous comprehensive experiment.(3) As one of the main means of forest observation, unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) is used to obtain high spatial resolution hyperspectral, thermal infrared and related CCD images.

This data set was obtained in the Fine scale Optical Remote sensing Experiment of mixed Stand over complex Terrain (FOREST) in Genhe reserve area. The experimental site is located near Genhe Ecological Station (national ecosystem research network of Greater Khingan forest ecosystem in Inner Mongolia). The data acquisition time is 9:00-17:00 (Beijing time) on August 7, 2016, and the sampling interval is 0.5 hours. The measuring equipment is FLIR T440 camera. The brightness temperatures of six components: illumination leaf, shadow leaf, illumination trunk, shadow trunk, illumination background and shadow background were extracted through image supervision classification. After the removal of reflection term contribution and emissivity correction, the radiometric temperatures of six components were finally obtained. This data set is expected to be applied to thermal infrared modeling, component temperature inversion, evapotranspiration estimation and so on.
