Mo isotopic composition of Yanshanian molybdenites in central-eastern China

(1) This data is the Mo isotopic composition (relative to the thousand deviation of 98mo / 95Mo of nist3134) of molybdenite and ore bearing rocks in several W-Mo deposits in Qinling and Jiangnan orogenic belt ;

(2) All samples were purified by double diluent method and determined by MC-ICP-MS;

(3) The internal precision of all samples is better than 0.08 ‰ (2sd), and the external reproducibility of rock standards is better than 0.05 ‰ (2sd);

(4) The results of Mo isotope compositions of molybdenites and its surrounding rock (rock mass) show that: 1. There are obvious differences in Mo isotope compositions among ore concentration areas; 2. Mo isotopic composition of molybdenite is always lighter than that of rock mass; 3. Mo isotope fractionation of porphyry molybdenite in Donggou area of Qinling Mountains is significant. Different types of ore deposits and different metallogenic processes correspond to different fractionation / mixing lines. The molybdenite end members of these deposits all have very light Mo isotopic composition, suggesting that Mo is derived from sediments with lighter isotopic composition. The results show that Mo isotope of Molybdenite can be used as a potential indicator to trace the source of ore-forming materials.

All Mo isotope data are summarized in an excel table, named "Mo isotope compositions of Yanshanian molybdenites in central eastern China". All data are the thousand deviation of 98mo / 95Mo ratio of the sample relative to the Mo isotope standard sample nist3134, which can be directly quoted.
